Broadcast journalists face new challenges today. They also enjoy unprecedented opportunities. In this era, almost anything is possible even though the quality of broadcast news is arguably lower than ever before. In 2006-2007, I taught students at Howard University's John H. Johnson School of Communications. They were some of the best students I've ever seen and we spent much time talking about the real challenges of yesterday and today. The students heard from a number of leading producers, correspondents, and new media experts. Among them: Mark McDonald, Steve Handelsman, Mary Major, Madeline Lacore, Tom Bettag, and Adam Clayton Powell, III. Select portions -- Journalists on Journalism -- of these talks with students and other interviews are being made available now as part of our educational outreach. Click on the individual links in the right column or go to "Journalists on Journalism." Note: More material will be made available as soon as possible. --- David Shapinsky
